I have been in love with Dan Dan noodles since the moment I came across them. They originated in Sichuan as a street food and I stumbled across them during my travels in my 20’s. Traditionally Dan Dan noodles are spicy, however, my version is family-friendly and one that my whole family devours (although I highly recommend adults add chilli oil to their serving). In my experience, you can’t go wrong with mince, peanut butter and noodles for toddlers. Even better, you will have this dish on the table in less than 30 minutes!
Once you’ve prepped the vegetables and Dan Dan sauce, it requires very little effort in just 4 simple steps. My version packs a nutritional punch, without compromising on flavour. I hope you love this one as much as we do!
You’ll find the step-by-step method for this recipe and my 5-day meal plan below too. I have been thinking of adding a grocery list to go alongside my meal plan each week - let me know if you would find this helpful?
Happy cooking & I’ll see you here next week where I’ll be sharing a quick pasta dish!
